Or maybe you just stumbled across this website 10 seconds ago and are trying to figure out what the heck a Say & Do Journal is. Wherever you are in your buyer's journey, you might be asking yourself questions like these -

"I already have a baby book for my child. Why would I need a Say & Do Journal, too?"

"My kids are in (elementary / middle / high school). Is it too late to start a journal for them?"

"I CAN'T STAND most baby books! They're too time consuming and overwhelming to fill out. Please tell me this isn't the same as those."

If you're wondering whether this journal is a good fit for you and your kids, you're in the right place. Below, we'll tackle all of these questions head on - follow along!

QUESTION #1:  "I already have a baby book for my child. Why would I need a Say & Do Journal, too?"

Our childhood memory book is different from standard baby books. It's designed to preserve a specific part of childhood and adolescence - the memorable things that kids say and do. Many baby books don't have dedicated sections where you can fill out your kids' special sayings and actions, and even fewer contain space to do so throughout the tween / teenage years.

In addition, our journal was created for everyday use. Unlike many baby books, which are large and bulky, the Say & Do Journal was designed with accessibility in mind. It's 6.5' x 8.5' size makes it perfect to store right out in the open - perched on a kitchen counter or as part of a bedside table bookstack - and it's muted, earth tones and natural linen texture help it blend seamlessly into your day-to-day life. It's the ideal book to leave out, grab, and jot notes in when sweet moments arise.

QUESTION #2:  "My kids are in (elementary / middle / high school). Is it too late to start a journal for them?"

No! It's never too late to start documenting special moments! While the journal has dedicated chapters for each year throughout childhood (0 - 18 years), it's not essential to fill out each one in order to create a treasured keepsake. We believe in grace, not perfectionism around here - what's important is that you start somewhere!

Still not sold on leaving sections blank? Ask yourself this - 20 years from now, would you rather have a list of your child's precious moments stored in the Notes folder of a broken iPhone sitting in the back of your closet OR...

...would you rather have a beautiful childhood memory journal with a few blank pages near the front but packed towards the middle / end with tons of thoughtful, heartwarming, unforgettable memories of your sweet child?

We know which choice we'd make! (Spoiler alert - it's #2!)

QUESTION #3:  "I CAN'T STAND most childhood memory books! They're too time consuming and overwhelming to fill out. Please tell me this isn't the same as those."

Not even close! Many of the design choices that we made while creating the Say & Do Childhood Memory Journal were in response to deficits we saw in the current baby book and childhood memory book markets. We found that so many childhood memory books today are:

- overwhelming and stressful to fill out

- packed with data-focused prompts that don't capture who your child truly is

- geared only towards babies

- designed with blaringly bright, cartoonish aesthetics

- made with low-quality materials that will last only for a season

We believe that you deserve a better way to preserve your child's most precious memories.

You deserve a childhood memory journal that's simple, classic, and easy to use. A journal that lets you write down the specific memories that capture the heart and soul of your kiddo. A journal that's intentionally designed to grow with your child from birth through their teenage years. A journal that you can one day pass down to your child, and to their child after that.
